With the successful sale of their company, Hyman and Zanziper decided to embark on a new venture, founding The Portopiccolo Group, a multi-faceted investment and management firm. In this new role, Hyman has primarily focused on the operations and quality initiatives of the company, drawing on his keen understanding of every aspect of the business.
Hyman’s attention to detail and his ability to build a strong regional, clinical, and operational team have been crucial in the success of The Portopiccolo Group’s investments. His vision and leadership have been instrumental in efficiently operating the skilled nursing portion of the company’s portfolio.
While Hyman’s primary focus has shifted to planning for new investment opportunities in real estate, private equity, and lending, he continues to be involved in various community initiatives. Hyman’s passion for healthcare and his desire to make a difference in the lives of others led him to become an EMT volunteer for the past 16 years. Recently, he even took on the additional responsibility of becoming a nationally certified paramedic, further expanding his ability to provide emergency medical care to those in need.
